Environmental Education, Advocacy, and Stewardship
Promoting, protecting and preserving our environment primarily through youth-led programs.
BVF fights for environmental preservation and advocates for a comprehensive curriculum. They played a significant role in banning plastic bags, straws, and toxic sunscreen. Currently, humans produce over 350 million metric tons of plastic waste per year, causing harm to marine life and habitats worldwide. BVF is committed to mitigating and protecting the natural habitats of the Virgin Islands, exploring sustainable solutions and inspiring others to value environmental preservation.

Engaging youth in environmental stewardship early is essential for fostering a sense of responsibility and connection to the planet. This empowers them to understand their actions' impacts, develop sustainable habits, and become informed advocates for protecting natural resources for future generations.
Protecting and planting trees is crucial for our future, as it helps combat climate change and strengthens our communities. Trees are vital for our planet: Such as improving air quality, supporting wildlife, and creating recreational spaces that enrich communities.
